Cody ended up in a corner with it, there was no way for this animal to escape, any animal that's cornered, that's about to be killed will fight for its life. Had I not gotten Cody's attention and he let it go, he surely would have killed it, he was crazed. I believe he thought it was a squirrel, they torment him, if he ever caught one I do believe he would skin it. Because Opossums are slow moving animals is the reason Cody caught it.
