I always have issues with the hair knotting very quickly, I think if I did it everyday I can minimize it or I am doing something incorrectly when tying it.

I make Mike's topknot every morning and brush and comb it thoroughly. If I let it stay in place for few days the hair right under the elastic become very very tangled. I also went through a few types of elastics until found the one that works best for his hair.
