I had to let Sophie go to the rainbow bridge on Monday. She had fought for a year with kidney disease brought on by Vitamin D over dose in the Hill's Science Diet ID food recall. She was just 10 years old.
My heart has such a big hole left by such a small dog. We believed the food these people were selling was safe and healthful as they had advertised and as our vet had prescribed.
There are no words to describe the feeling of holding her for the last time. Her last conscious act was to reach up and give me two little kisses on my cheek.
