Potty training though is a necessity and diapers are just not species appropriate and don’t fix something that could be fixed. If your not willing to at least potty train a dog then why get one? What happens if something happens to you and a friend or family member needs to care for your dogs but no one takes them because they aren’t potty trained. It’s just not feasible to not potty train.
Gidget is completely potty trained. When the weather is bad, she uses the pee pee pads. Otherwise, we take 2 or 3 walks outside so she can pee and poop but also for the exercise for both of us. She doesn't mind being in a crate at the groomers and she's also used to being in a carrier when we go someplace. She's happy either way. When we visit my daughter for a few days, I take the pee pads just in case we can't get outside as often. No problem.
