Well first things first Taste of the Wild is on the top of the list of foods that are causing heart issues that the FDA put out so I would look for an alternative pretty quickly. Also I would look for a food with grains just encase that is what is missing from his system. Now what he is doing is pica. There can be health issues for this and non health related issues. This link might help some but I'm thinking behaviorist at this point is something that you need to look into pretty quickly.
