Default My Yorkie keeps hitting me

Ever since I got my female yorkie, Kira, she has had a habit of holding a toy in her mouth, shaking her head and hitting the toy on my leg in an attempt to get me to throw the toy for her. It was entertaining at first - but she is now 1 1/2 years and still does this, (sometimes for 1/2 hour). Lately when I'm lying by the firesplace relaxing and reading, she starts wacking the toy in my face. I know I need to ignore her, but when I do this she will place the toy beside me and hide around the corner in a strike pose waiting for me to throw it -- this pose will last up to 10 minutes until I feel sorry for her and finally throw it. Several months ago I got a second yorkie (a male) who has no interest in this game and just watches her -- I thought this toy shaking/hitting habit was a yorkie thing? Will she outgrow it as she gets older???
