Hi just sharing with you, our yorkie girl, Bella is about 19 months old. She has never barked either from the time we brought her home from the breeder, only when she wants to play, just like your puppy. She's also on the shy side, and too friendly to our friends when they meet her and also strangers from outside, i.e. she would lie down on the floor with wagging tail and stretch her body out for you to hand massage her. Also when other dogs smell her, she likes to lift her leg up so they can smell her. I believe it comes from her parent's calm temperament and also influences from her puppy training and socialization classes at early age. We wish that she would bark to tell us there's someone at the front door, then she could be a guard dog rather than a friendly watch dog, lol. |
