When I was walking my pack it was to potty not an exercise excursion. Total time was 30 minutes, 15 minutes to their favorite potty spot then 15 minutes back home and off to work I would go. We went out in all types of weather, they had rain coats and warm sweater or coats. My dogs were use to all types of weather, they were house broken at 7 months old. When it snowed and streets were plowed then salted I had to carry all 3 of them to a grassy area. 2 weighed 13 Lbs one was 10 Lbs 15 minutes from where we lived, then carry them back, salt burns their pads. If your dog is not use to being walked in all elements and temps below 30 I suggest starting off with a short 10 minute walk in winter months and building it up to a time that you can both be comfortable with.
