You have an awesome new breed to the USA and they are rare here because not many breeders are breeding them yet. They are now accepted by the AKC to be shown. I would be very proud to say my pup was a Biewer Terrier and a new breed in the USA, and yes they originated in Germany, but a Biewer Terrier is a breed of its own as is the yorkie. A terrier is a terrier, and they were breed to flush out rodents, I don't think they can ever fully remove prey drive out of any terrier.
