Here's a site for anyone whom might be intrested in becoming a Soldier's Angel.
Many people have asked me if there was something they could do to help make a soldiers deployment a little easier. I found out about this from my son. He kept talking about his Angel in his emails to me and his wife and I kept wondering what on earth he was talking about. This wonderful lady adopted him along with several other soldiers, they send encouraging emails, letters, small care packages and just try to uplift them as much as possible. While my son had support from home it did make him feel better knowing that a total stranger cared about him as well. Just be aware that should you adopt a soldier they may ar may not be able to respond often to your emails, letters and such. They are working long hours, some have little access to computers and they are trying to stay safe. So please don't take it personal. My son loved his and kept in touch with her as much as he did with us. I have been fortunate enough to have corresponded with her as well. It gave me much comfort in knowing she truly cared about his safety and supported him.
