As for his blindness, do not move any furniture around, he knows where everything is placed, moving things around will confuse him.
My now passed girl was a big girl weighing in at 17 Lbs, she was with me until she was 17 years old, blind, deaf slept most of the day, I would enjoy her when she would wake up. Seniors are the sweetest.
