I just got some info on TNR programs in my area (rural area....so only found 1 in the area). All I would need is a 50.00 refundable deposit for the trap. If I return the trap within 7 days, I get my money back. Once I've trap a cat, it would only cost 35.00 to spay or neuter, a rabies vaccination and a ear tipping. Then I would just have to go pick him up. With the number of cats, that I see, maybe my neighbors would be willing to chip in to help get them spayed or neutered. I've counted at least 6 cats that visit periodically, depending on food.
