Thank you, Ladyjane. I did try to google sparking dog food earlier but was unsuccessful. I took a quick look at the links and will read them over again tomorrow before I contact Purina. It did occur to me that it might be natural minerals in the food, but I microwaved two other canned dog foods (Natural Balance and Hills) and didn't see either of them spark, so it still scared me enough to not feed it to Jenna.
I've microwaved so many different things, never with this kind of reaction, so I'll be sure to follow up on it just in case. Thank you so much for all the info!
