Way to measure Pee Volume Hi All,
Wondering if there is a way to measure the amount of pee out put when the dog goes on the pee pad.
I am ready to pull my hair out with Thumper if it is not one thing it is another. His gash and back strain are all healed but now he is not peeing outside and only on the pee pads.
He is drinking plenty of water as I see on the camera but nothing like before. He use to pee like a river every time I took him out or have constant accidents in the house.
Now he will only pee small spurts on the pee pad and during the evening pee more. I am trying to find out how much he is actually peeing so I can monitor it.
I have measured his water intake and he use to drink 4-8 cups a day now when I am at work will drink 2-3 1/2 cups or less. On the weekends sometimes more.
I have a dog walker take him out twice a day and I walk him also so he goes out plenty. even when taking away the pee pads he will just pee where they were before.
I don't want to go to another vet visit as I have already been there 5 times this past month and its damn expensive.
His poop is also formed but soft. (Even Bella is having that issue) I am giving them FortiFlora and Pumpkin and starting him on cranberry as well to avoid a UTI. Trying all natural remedies as I don't want to put him on any more meds if I can help it.
So after this long rant back to my original question is there a way to determine the amount of pee on a pad? When I work I have to use pads and when I sleep he will not wait for the morning as he was trained on pads.
Ugh I am exhausted and frustrated. I want him as healthy as possible. All else he eats fine, plays with his bone, sleeps and licks Bella all the time. His normal routine. He just will no longer pee outside (only marking small spurts) and is is drinking a smaller volume in water drinking and peeing.
