I think if a dog acts unhappy, no real continuing zest for life except during cuddles, loving sessions, for a couple of weeks, it is time if the vet sees no way for improvement. Who wants a sad, unhappy little dog when our love can help them find comfort and peace?
Life, a painful, confusing, unhappy, life is not living for a dog when they can no longer live the joyful, bouncy, ever happy life they always have. When my dog struggles in most ways just to get through his day, I’ll let him go because I adore him.
