If he's not in pain, if he's eating and drinking I would not let him go. These little seniors do sleep a lot and even if he's blind and deaf is not a reason to make this horrid decision. The times when he isn't sleeping spend with him cuddling, petting, he feels your love even if he can't see you he knows you are there.

Have you spoken to your vet about this. If not I would.

I had no choice but to let my girl go at 17 yo. She slept most of the day, she was blind, deaf, had incontinence and early stages of dementia. When she was awake I would play with her, cuddle her spent quality time with her until she tired out and back to sleep she would go. Her appetite was declining but she still ate until one day she didn't.

There was no choice then.

Please talk to your vet.
