I couldn't recall the name last night when I first posted but here is a link to a credit service for those w/out funds needing expensive, emergency vet care. You might want to check it out to see if you might want to try it and tell the vet you've applied for it in case the vet care will be costly. But of course if you can't find any other way, the vet will know rescues who might very well take him under their wing and pay for his care if you surrender him.
