Always better to be safe then sorry.
I don't have a tiny boy but he is never left alone outside, ppl take dogs for different reasons, bait for fights or fast sale for quick cash. Never, never leave your pups alone in even a gated yard not even for a minute, that's all it takes for a thief to steal them.
