A notice I received today on Facebook from Glynn County Animal Control in Brunswick GA. We are on the east coast just above Florida:
BE AWARE! There appears to be a rash of Yorkie/Teacup Yorkie thefts in Glynn County going on at this time. Please keep an eye on your dog and have him/her microchipped to improve their chances of being found if stolen. We offer free microchipping at our shelter Mondays through Fridays 12-5 and at all of our mobile adoption events. If you have any information about the theft of Yorkies from multiple homes, please call the Glynn County Silent Witness Line at (912) 264-1333.
