My yorkie would never let me brush her teeth, so I always gave her dentastix and occasional bones, also kibble instead of wet food. She is now 8 years old and has tartar buildup. I've put it off for this long as I've been terrified of having her anesthetized.
I'm in the Winchester VA area, but live close to Hampshire Co WV as well. Could someone please give me the name of a good vet and also a ballpark idea of the cost, including if there is a need for extraction?
