I am sorry about your experience. I agree with Taylor. Your only recourse would probably be small claims court, but the court fees may be more than the $250 you are trying to recover. I would try to ask again, in a document-able way (text message or email) just to back up your story. I would also post a review here or any other place that can be found in a google search, and include pictures. It sucks to have to do that, but others should be warned.

This is not how a breeder experience should be. For JakJak, my biewer, I had to complete an application, phone interview, then wait for puppies to be available. When the litter was born, I put a deposit for the puppy I wanted. I got pictures every week to watch my boy grow and develop. I was able to visit him at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and then pickup at 12 weeks. I met mommy, and all the other puppers that lived in her home. The only one I did not meet was daddy, but that's because daddy lives at her breeding partner's house. But I do have pictures and official pedigree of my little guy. In fact, I'm sure if I ask for pictures of daddy today, I should be able to get a few.
Additionally, my breeder did her best to support me for the 3 months of when my yorkie baby got sick and then had to be euthanized. My yorkie was not one of hers, but she offered to help and support with vet recommendations if needed. It was comforting to have her there.

JakJak is now almost 9 months old, and we still correspond. I like to send her videos and pictures of "our" boy. I can't help it! He's so handsome!
