I just saw this on FB......Please stay vigilante when you are out with your pup, as you see, these birds size does not matter.....I don't know of the out come of this baby...

Atlanta, Georgia- A bald eagle swooped down and snatched up the beloved 12-pound dog on June 25, carrying him about 300 feet before dropping him, leaving the dog’s owner screaming in horror.
Tiny dog miraculously survived the rough descent and went home on Wednesday after undergoing surgery, but wounds from the eagle’s sharp talons became badly infected. He returned to the hospital Thursday and has been there ever since.
