 13 Yr. old Female Not Eating
Hi All- So our Sadie girl turned 13 last month. About 6 months ago she stopped eating dog food, period. (She will eat an occasional treat, tho).She has always been a bigger dog, weighing around 12 pounds. She is at 8 lbs. now. Took her to the Vet. Said feed her whatever she wants. So she was on an "all people food" kick for a while. Whatever I made for dinner she would eat. She has eaten "people food" since she was a pup. It has now gotten to the point where she is barely eating anything. She is drinking her water & will eat a bit here & there. Do I make another Vet appt. ? Has anyone experienced this with their older dog ? She lost her hearing about 6 months ago also. Vet checked, nothing can be done for that. She sleeps way more than usual now, too. Saw the TV commercial for "Fresh Pet". Bought some, she won't touch it. We are concerned and really don't know what to do from here on out. Suggestions, comments welcomed. Thanks. |
