OMGoodness they must be bald, the higher the blade # the shorter the hair. I'm surprised the groomer didn't tell you this and suggest a lower blade #.
At my last groomer for summer she used a # 7 which was perfect. I changed groomers last Sept. told her to use a 7 blade, OMG whose yorkie is that. I don't know why her 7 was different from other groomers I have used, thank goodness hair grows back and Cody's hair grows fast. Now we use # 5 for all seasons, winter he gets groomed every 6 weeks, summer every 4 weeks.
