We trust our vet and want our boy to be healthy (i admit I dont think he is fat, is this mama eyes?)
Im guilty of giving him bits from our dinner and treats more or less on demand.
Its my fault but please help me out - how can i cut down treats without Cash thinking hes done wrong? His health comes first. Cash is walked at least twice a day & we have lots of play.
Cash is our first dog, hes my baby boy and to be honest Ive treated him like a baby. Now i cant stop crying thinking im damaging his health.
I will be grateful for any advice or to hear of similar situations out there.
Thank you!

I had the same issue, My Bailey is 7.3 lbs. the Vet said he needs to get down to 6lbs..
My Vet gave me a Sample Of Hill’s Dog Food. The Sample is a 9 1/2lb. Bag. She said it would help him lose weight, plus it has a little something in there for his bones. He’s 12yrs. though and has some Arthritis in his hind knees. Your Baby, May be too young for this but it doesn’t say for weight control or bones. My Vet was concerned about his heart, he’s good but, if I were you, thin Cash Down. It won’t happen overnight, it may be just a fraction of a lb. a few weeks to a month. You can sure ask your Veterinarian to see if there’s a different one or if this is a good food your Baby. It is Prescriptions Dog Food, so you can only get it at a Veterinarians Office. When I asked how much it would cost she said around $20-24. I pay more than that for my boys food now, and it’s just a 6lb. Bag.
Best Part, Bailey Loves it!!! He LOVES it!
Sorry I wrote a book but, that’s the facts. I sure hope I Help!♥️😊
