We have only had boys, and several of my previous little guys really preferred me over my husband...which was hurtful to him. With Tyrone and Gus it has been perfect. Ty is all rough and tough, and plays endlessly with Jim. He is snuggly with me when he wants "Mommy love", but there is no mistaking that he is my husband's dog! Gus loves to play with his Daddy, but is constantly cuddled by my side. He is my baby through and through.
Dogs, IMHO, are just like children. They come to us ready to love and form relationships, but they are sentient beings. All of my children were raised in the same home, with the same parents, but are very different...same with our furbabies.
I don't think that gender, alone, predicts. |
