Default Intro: unintentional new Yorkie mix

Laurel is most likely a Chihuahua/Yorkie cross, although I have not had her DNA tested yet.

I didn't know that when I adopted her, but I learn something new about dogs in general and Yorkies in particular every day. She is the light of my life and my whole family right now and even though I had intended to adopt a Chihuahua/Minpin cross and our local animal shelters are so full of Chorkies that the world just sees "yet another one", her temperament and everything I love about her is typical and almost stereotypical Yorkie.

I did not know that. I had breed prejudice. I still have very much to learn and in the unlikely event that I am ever in a position to adopt a well bred Yorkie as a second dog, I would jump at the opportunity.

As long as Laurel was every bit as thrilled as I was, of course, and she is currently (at about eight months old) so dog-friendly and outgoing that I can't imagine she wouldn't be.
