Thank you everyone, I called the vet this morning, waiting for call back. They did not give me any other meds for home except Gabapentin. The vet did say it may take weeks for him to heal, her thoughts were that he would be very bruised. He has arthritis in his back legs hips. He also has spinal stenosis in his back. We have doggie stairs everywhere he is allowed to go. My heart breaks to see him hurt. Thank you all for your replies.
