Default Flea/Tick "Tags"

Has anyone ever had any luck with these?

The reviews are pretty good but it's a bit of a pricey gamble.

Jackson has a history of pancreatitis and also potentially has IBD (hasn't been confirmed through biopsy yet) but I am nervous about any oral flea/tick meds. He used to take Nexgard. Quite a few of the IBD dog people I have become friends with online do not do oral chews for fleas and ticks. My vet also did not recommend them for Jackson just in case he has a reaction since it's oral and would be in his system for 30+ days. But I'm also not big on going back to topicals as I hate the way it gets so yucky in their hair AND you have to wait 24+ hours before going in water and in the summer he is literally in the pool every single day.

He has not had any flea/tick meds since October and that's been fine, we have had zero issues, but Spring is arriving and we do tend to see a decent amount of ticks in the summer. So I usually keep the pups on something from May through September or October.

We do NOT have issues with fleas, like ever. I've never even seen a flea. But the ticks I would like to try to keep at bay.

I was thinking something like this tag could be beneficial in conjunction with sprays and/or shampoos and such when I know they are going to be outside in the grasses etc.

I don't know - thoughts? Any one have success with this? My other option could be Seresto collar. But I won't leave it on all the time so I do not know if it works that way (only putting on when we go outside).
