I was casually viewing Petfinder.com looking at Yorkies available for adoption In my area. Usually Yorkies are hard to find in my area that are adoptable especially puppies. Most times they are a yorkie mix.
Well I happen to come across two male Yorkers available that are 3 miles from where I live. One is 10 months old and the other is 4 months old. They are just so adorable in their pictures. I have been contemplating getting another yorkie but was not really expecting to find any one at this time.
I would love to adopt both but I am hesitant because of the costs. I already have two and know how expensive they are. The major cost will be insurance for them. I already pay about 2K a year for Bella and Thumper. I can just imagine that doubling for two more.
Food and pee pad costs will also go up along with all the other basic costs for caring for a dog.
I don't know much about them as the website did not list any information. All it states was that the owner surrendered them. I need to call the shelter to find out more information.
The earliest I could visit the shelter is next weekend. I am thinking if they are still available for adoption at that time I may go and take a look.
If finances were not an issue I would grab them in a minute. I am just so conflicted. I always wanted three yorkies spread out in age. Also I never cared for a puppy as Bella and Thumper were already fully grown when I adopted them.
Thank for listening to my ramblings. I just don't know what to do. Below are their pictures and adoption ad.
