I've paid between $15 & $45 to get my Maltese groomed.. granted he's a little different than a Yorkie, but all of his groomings have been basic bath & clip stuff. I hated leaving him all day sitting in a crate at the groomers and I always questioned how well they treated him there so I groom him myself now. I bought a pair of nice quality clippers and scissors and they paid for themselves in just two uses and now I also will have my Yorkie to groom as well as my sister's Maltese.. so it's much more cost effective for us and we can control the look we want and not the look the groomer thinks we want.
