It was a harrowing, awful situation and everyone, though trying to understand, was upset. My brother understood my concerns and as I said, we both tested the collar. I hated to have to go that route and waited through a month of craziness before using it. I think I used "shock" twice and have since used vibrate (maybe a few times). Peace has been restored in just a few days and Piper is calmer and back to being more social. If I'd had options, I'd have taken them, but faced with these extenuating circumstances, well...I love Piper beyond and love in her always and all ways. I am sorry if I disappoint, but visitors are relaxed and Piper is not charging, barking or biting...Collar was by no means my first or 20th choice, but I'm glad it was available and glad it worked so quickly...
They have some very bad behavioral and health wise side effects. They are actually banned in several countries due to those issues and them not being safe. At the end of the day she is your dog. I'm just a stranger on a message forum it is what it is. I just hope you can read some of the things I provided and learn from them and throw the collar out and not use it again.
