The collar was a last resort in the truest sense. Every time someone entered house, Piper charged them, barking and growling. She would charge people when they stood up and would charge and bite as they left. I am unable to walk without walker (no weight on leg for six weeks) and therefore have been quite limited in what I can do. Piper would bark almost non-stop when people tried to visit. It was a harrowing, awful situation and everyone, though trying to understand, was upset. My brother understood my concerns and as I said, we both tested the collar. I hated to have to go that route and waited through a month of craziness before using it. I think I used "shock" twice and have since used vibrate (maybe a few times). Peace has been restored in just a few days and Piper is calmer and back to being more social. If I'd had options, I'd have taken them, but faced with these extenuating circumstances, well...I love Piper beyond and love in her always and all ways. I am sorry if I disappoint, but visitors are relaxed and Piper is not charging, barking or biting...Collar was by no means my first or 20th choice, but I'm glad it was available and glad it worked so quickly...
