Max only had saline put in is eyes after the staining tests and the saline aggravated his eyes. The antibiotics are necessary to prevent infection, worsening.
Cool, moist outdoor air really helped Max. His last ulcer healed within hours before his scheduled surgery. I took him in and insisted the doctor take one more look -- surgery was cancelled!
