So happy to hear lil Jake is ok with no serious issues.
I had to lol because I have went through this often when I had my girls, because I hardly took them in the car when I moved from NY to Pa. the only time they went in the car was to the groomer or the vet which needless to say they hated these places. I was working at this time but week ends I would take them if only to the bank so they wouldn't think every time they went in the car it was to get tortured . With Cody I take him in the car just to go to the bank. I have cluster mail boxes, no door to door mail delivery, the mail boxes are at the entrance of the community so I have to drive to collect my mail, so I even take him to get my mail. I take him to as many places dogs are allowed, so when it's vet time he is shocked to see where he is lol.
Take care your yourself now, good that at least you have peace of mind knowing Jake is in good health.
