I too am so very sorry for the loss of your lil baby, and your broken arm but, if you could just take a stool sample to your vet they can tell if there's anything going on. When you're able to get around better your pup may not have black stools, I would def. drop off a sample of just the stool, you don't have to bring your pup with you, just the stool.
