A spay is a lot cheaper then pyometra which would cause the need for an emergency spay and can still cause death, or the cost of raising puppies until 12 weeks or the emergency c-section and or the cost of removing mammary tumors . It’s much cheaper for a neuter then the emergency neuter when the prostate swells up and the dog can no longer go potty, or emergency surgery for testicular cancer. Giving a vaccine to prevent parvo costs a lot less then a dog in the emergency vet for multiple nights trying to live. Getting yearly blood work can help you catch thing early before they become huge big health issues. Just remember prevention is very important especially is these small guys.
