Welcome to YT and so very sorry for the loss of your little girl, what a horrible thing to have happened.
Having had a pack of 3, all 3 years apart I have to agree with the 2 above members, it takes time. Wait before getting another baby.
Each time I bought a new baby home it would take 6 weeks to 2 months for the older one / ones to stay on the floor with the new kid and play. They did became BFF it just took time.
Don't force friendship on your older one, let him go to the baby on his time, his terms. Make sure he has a safe haven he can get to to get away from frisky puppy. Do not leave the two of them together alone unsupervised.
Before you know it they will be BFF.
