I think you can look at the can/bag to see how much to feed, when we fed Tucker a prescription food that was canned we covered the portion not used and kept it in the refridgerator. Also, to save time sometimes I would prepare 2 or 3 cans at a time into small tupperware containers to just warm at feeding time. But dry food is better for their teeth because it keeps them from getting tooth decay and infection. Hope this helps
