Cody is a rescue, his prev. owner kept him in a crate all day while she was working. When hurricane Sandy hit he was in a shelter for 16 days crated without his family. Some groomers I had used had crated blowers and he thrashed about. At the groomer if he's crated he goes ballistic, I get there before he's finished so crate time is just a few minutes. I have to assume bad experiences in his past created fear of crates.
