Our vet let us opt out of Lepto, but the dr. who owns the practice came into the room to try and convince us that we needed to vaccinate our boys...even after I explained that they are inside dogs and we did not feel that the benefit outweighed the risk(s). The next time we were in the office, there was a sign posted stating that all puppies, regardless of breed, must be vaccinated for lepto during their round of puppy shots. Luckily, our wonderful vet is buying the practice. He is always willing to work with us when we have concerns, and does not take a "one size only " approach to our three very different little dogs!

Is Lepto a big issue in your area? Seems crazy a vet would post that kinda sign and force it.
