I would definitely not be happy giving kenalog on an ongoing basis...way too many side effects.

BTW: most allergies are environmental, not food. Not saying he isn't allergic to food...but more likely not.
As SOON as he starts itching if you get that shot you will prevent skin infections and also give him almost immediate relief. I have found that by the same evening or the next morning they are fine. The shot is around $35 - $40 ... well worth it!!
