Last week he lost a baby molar tooth right before we took him in to be checked about the possibly broken one. In short, his mouth is a mess. If there are additional baby teeth underneath the gum line, x-rays are the only way to find them without slicing his mouth apart.
On a positive note, the vet and vet techs complimented us on how well Bon Bon dealt with having his mouth examined. All my efforts on training him to tolerate toothbrushing paid off when it was important. | I have never heard of doing X-rays on baby teeth it just seems a bit extra and more money. When the puppy is under they can tell which are baby teeth and which aren’t. I have been through this multiple times. They don’t have to slice the gums open or anything.
