Put him in a crate and go to the gym.
Ginger still has to be in her crate while I’m at the gym and she’s 8 months old. It’s first thing in the morning so she sleeps the whole time anyway. If she wakes up she has chew stuff in there to keep her busy. If she barks and cries I’m not there to hear it.
I know you love your new baby, but you have to make sure he doesn’t start running your life. It took me months before I realized I had become a slave to a 3 lb puppy. Now I like to think I have a good balance. Take good care of both of you.
