I saw some birds on Animal Planet who were sitting on rocks just shivering away like they were freezing to death.
The narrator said, "By the way, don't worry about these little birds shivering. They aren't cold. This is what they do to keep warm, and they're quite comfortable." It's nature's way!
Well - since these were wild birds who have lived, bred, and raised their young in this area for centuries -- I guess he was right. And, they were coming and going and eating, etc. etc. and except for their shivering - seemed to be perfectly happy and fine.
Still - my pup wears a coat when it's cold outside. I can tell you though - if he is outside shivering - he still doesn't want to go back into the house. Shivering and all - he thinks he's having fun!
