Hydromet cough syrup. It’s prescription, but amazing.

Very low dose Prednisilone .5/.6)(it’s prednisone already partly broken down to go easier on my Yorkie’s enlarged liver) every other day; plus theophylline (a bronchodilator) 2X a day; and the syrup when necessary has given my dog great quality of life and almost no coughing spells, except in winter, as all of this has somehow made him prone to a light version of bronchitis.
Good luck with your baby. The coughing is so hard to witness because one feels so helpless and it sounds so terrible, especially when it ends in a gag. : ( |
