ohh congrats!! How exciting for you!!
It's a good idea to have 2 of you to pick her up. It's nice to have someone hold and calm her while the other person drives. When we picked up our two each time, we brought a dog carrier just in case and some towels. We found it helped them feel comfy with some towels on our lap. My second Yorkie has a more sensitive stomach and gets motion sickness in the car. Make sure to not feed her before the car ride (thought most new puppies don't have much of an appetite for the first couple/few days due to everything being new and scary). And I also agree with Matese to only give her small sips of water if she wants any.
