So, what you are telling OP and anyone that may read this thread is, if they have an older dog with lumps and bumps and their vet says they are old age spots, but these "spots" are growing and getting bigger, just ignore the growing growths because your vet said they are only old age spots and it not necessary to get a 2nd opinion or see a dermatologist, just let these growths get bigger and bigger because you say they are only tags. | Oh boy. I know for me the closet dermatologist is almost 2 hours away so that is not always easy nor can everyone afford it especially if your vet doesn’t think that’s necessary. I think if the vet has seen them and isn’t concerned you probably shouldn’t be either. From my experience with my moms rescue Sammy and with Callie as well as my education skin tags are extremely normal as a dog gets older and they tend to grow but are harmless. Sammy and Callie both had several removed many times when they had yearly dentals. I have been through many many different lumps and bumps with Callie none have been cancer. I just think yelling tumor at it and don’t trust your vet is a bit out there.
