You're correct, most vets do not have a dermatologist on board, so you get in your car and drive to one, that is if you are really concerned about your dog. A 2nd opinion never hurts and gives a person piece of mind.

So, what you are telling OP and anyone that may read this thread is, if they have an older dog with lumps and bumps and their vet says they are old age spots, but these "spots" are growing and getting bigger, just ignore the growing growths because your vet said they are only old age spots and it not necessary to get a 2nd opinion or see a dermatologist, just let these growths get bigger and bigger because you say they are only tags.
