My heart breaks for you! Having lost our first yorkie mix, Elmo, to kidney disease, I completely understand how difficult it is when they hate the prescription food and have to have frequent fluid administration. He never regained any ground, and it was a daily struggle just to keep him stable. After a brave battle fought to please us, we let Elmo enjoy his final days eating his favorite food and cuddling with us. In the end, our doctor helped ease his trip along the rainbow bridge.
